Romi has a deep knowledge of Dentistry as he has been working in this role for 8 years.
He has gained a lot of experience dealing with patients and overseeing treatment plans.

Having qualified as a Dental Technician in 1979 John progressed and owned a dental lab for 33 years manufacturing dental appliances for the public and private sector.
John furthered his education with UCLAN University qualifying as a Clinical Dental Technician.
John takes great pride in supplying work to the end user of his products as a CDT, having a strong passion for quality and care with the aim to provide the best possible product for his patients.
John loves to remain busy in his downtime, spending time with his family and friends, and also enjoying the countryside.

Mr Pascal Gatera is our newest member of the team at Smiles Better.
Pascal qualified as a Clinical Dental Technican from The University of Central Lancashire in 2021. Along with his degree in Orthodontics from Manchester Metroplitan University in 2007, he also received his diploma in Dental Technology from Sheffield College in 2001
Pascal has over 20 years experience in dentistry providing the highest standards of work using the highest quality materials and equipment. He has a passion for dentures and loves changing lives.
Pascal is married with 3 children and enjoys cycling in his spare time.
Rita Brennan
Reception / Manager
Rita has been in dentistry for 40 years and became a dental nurse, Rita then moved onto being a receptionist.
Rite has two children and two grandchildren and in her spare time she likes to go out dancing.
She also really enjoys looking after her grandchildren.
Pawel Wiglusz
Dental Technician Apprentice
I started working here at Smiles Better in December 2022. I’ve always knew that I had an interest in dentistry. So when I saw this job opportunity, I knew it was time to make the jump from my previous experience in Dental Nursing to Dental Technology.
I have been loving being a part of the Smiles Better team ever since I had started.
I enjoy working in the dental laboratory and seeing the variety of different denture treatments available. Working in the laboratory with two dental technicians is really helping me with my continued learning.
I’m looking forward to continuing my journey in Dentistry and exploring the opportunities that I could go onto after qualifying as a Dental Technician.
Out of work, my favourite things to do are spending time with my family and doing fun activities.
Jean Gatete Gatera

After completing medical assistant training in Rwanda in 1985 I worked in Stomatology services, assisting in dental extractions and other dental procedures as part of my training.
My passion for Dentistry continued and I continued my studies in Belgium for 5 years between 1986 and 1990 and qualified as a Dental Technician.
In Belgium, I was employed by a Dental laboratory in the prosthetics department at the Institute of Arts and Crafts.
In 1990 I was employed by Vandeick Dental Laboratory in Brussels. My specialty was setting up complete and partial dentures.
In 1994 I undertook complex private work at Luxembourg Urling & Weis’ Ettrburuk laboratory where a gained huge experience.
From 2008 through 2016, I came to England where I worked in Manchester for Comet Dental Laboratory in the prosthetics department producing high quality dentures.
Currently I am working for Smiles Better in Manchester, where I am excelling using high quality materials and equipment.
I am a husband and father of three children.
